The Premiere of the If I Only Had a Screw Loose! Series at the Kremnica Gags Festival

This year at Kremnica Gags—the European festival of humour and satire, taking place on August 29-31, 2014 – animated film will find its place, too. The author of the visual concept of this year’s Gags Ivan Popovič will present himself as an experienced animator and creator of animated films. Furthermore, this caricaturist, drawer, painter, graphic designer, writer, animator and director is nominated for the Lifetime achievement award.

Apart from the screening of some of his older animated films, the world premiere of several episodes of his family series about the inventions of the 20th century If I Only Had a Screw Loose! (Mať tak o koliesko viac!)—which he created together with his son Dávid Popovič in their studio My studio—will also take place at the Kremnica Gags. Festival visitors will have a chance to see all of the episodes of the series made between 2009 and 2014. In fact, these aren’t the results of the author’s cooperation with the Slovak Television—as the rest of the episodes are—and they are financed only by the AVF and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. The series has 38 episodes up until now, but it is scheduled to have 52 episodes in total.
