Animation Community for Palestine (AC4PAL) is a volunteer collective of artists, animators, educators, festival directors, and curators from around the world united in the mission to offer concrete material support to our animation colleagues in Gaza. We at Fest Anča stand with Palestine, and we would like to share with you some information and links from the AC4PAL collective as a direct form of support and solidarity with Gaza.
Haneen Koraz and Her Workshops
AC4PAL was formed through a shared respect for the inspiring work of Palestinian animator Haneen Koraz and her talented team. Based in Gaza, Haneen’s team teaches animation film-making to children, women, and disabled communities. These workshops result in wonderful stop-motion animation films with heartfelt stories that express feelings and experiences not easily captured by words. Haneen and her team give a voice to those who are voiceless.
For children, stop-motion animation is more than just a technique – it is a window into their deepest thoughts and hidden fears. As Haneen says: I deeply believe that every person has the right to express themselves freely, and that art, making cartoon films and teaching, is one of the means of free expression, audio-visually, for all segments of society. I try to change the reality, even if just a little, for the children and women in the tents.
Animation here is not just a skill – it is a new language of self-expression, a free space for profound artistic exploration. These workshops are a lifeline to the children of Gaza, and the team of women animators is risking their own lives to help these kids. Want to help?

To Gaza, With Love
A Global Anijam invites animators and artists from around the world to create short 10-30 second animated messages of love and support to the Palestinian people. These animated sequences/films are then collected and uploaded to an interactive global map to highlight pockets of support for Gaza from every corner of the world Final animations will be showcased on an online interactive map, indicating the location of support.
Everyone from any country is invited to join the live-stream premiere of the interactive map in August! A curated compilation of submitted animations will also be screened at select International Animation Festivals, bringing messages of unity from around the world.
To Gaza, With Love: A Global Anijam aims to globally connect animators and artists to create a unified and impactful message of support to the Palestinian people. It helps to raise money for Haneen’s workshops and other Palestinian causes, or encourages positive publicity for the Palestinian cause in the media. We hope that it will also motivate creatives to speak out against the persecution of the Palestinian people.
