ANČA civil association is the organiser of the social-cultural event – International Animation Festival ‘Fest Anča’. Protecting the personal data of authors, visitors, and other subjects is its priority. This Personal Data Processing Information contains information on the processing of personal data of authors, visitors, and other natural persons whose data collecting and processing is necessary for the performance of our activities. Your personal data is processed in accordance with all the general provisions in force in the Slovak Republic, in particular (but not limited to) Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter as “Directive”), and Act No. 18/2018 on personal data protection (hereinafter as “Personal Data Protection Act”).

WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

The extent of personal data we need and collect varies, depending on the purpose of collection. We only collect the personal data we need in order to serve the purpose for which they were collected. We mostly collect the following categories of personal data:

WHO WE MAKE YOUR PERSONAL DATA AVAILABLE TO AND WHY

In this section, we inform you of the recipients to which we may provide or share your personal data. 

Some of your personal data may be provided to subjects which provide services to us, subjects which inform about our activities, or subjects that have the task of controlling financing or performing activities in accordance with generally binding rules. We strictly insist that all of our service providers and other subjects to whom we make your personal data available respect personal data protection, and abstain from using such data for their marketing purposes, unless you give them prior consent to do so. We only share personal data that the subjects absolutely need in order to provide services. Some examples are the following subjects:

  • collaborators and team members of Fest Anča
  • accommodation service providers
  • airline companies/airline services agents, travel agencies, couriers
  • media, journalists
  • accounting, tax consulting, auditory services
  • Audiovisual Fund, Media Fund programme of Creative Europe, International Visegrad Fund, LITA (Society of Authors) Litfond contributory organisation, the city of Žilina’s subsidy scheme, Slovak Arts Council, etc.
  • technological services (for instance, providing and managing the virtual environment, development, operation and management of apps, providing hardware maintenance service for all of the infrastructure’s devices, providing systemic support to the IT infrastructure, network management, newsletter management (SENDINBLUE, France), MyCinepass by supplier Art Film Fest s.r.o.

We may provide some of your personal data to national, local, and self-governing authorities, and other authorities of public administration if we have a legal obligation to do so, or such data are needed in order to determine, exercise or defend the rights and legitimate interests of our association or third parties.


HOW LONG YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS STORED

In most cases, we store your personal data for a maximum period of 10 years from the date we obtained them. In exceptional circumstances, if necessary, the time period during which we store your personal data may be extended due to reasons of exercising, proving, defending and/or exercising the rights, claims and legitimate interests of you as a data subject, or ours, or for the sake of archiving some documents or records for purposes of social, cultural, educational, and similar nature; to the extent necessary.


HOW WE TRANSFER YOUR PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

We have no plan to perform the cross-border transmission of your personal data to third countries outside the European Economic Area (the EU, Island, Norway, and Liechtenstein).


YOUR RIGHTS AND HOW TO ENFORCE THEM

If we process your personal data exclusively on the basis of your given consent to the processing of your personal data (Article 6 (1)(a) of the Directive), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You can withdraw your consent as it was obtained, i.e. in writing.

In relation to the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights to the extent determined by general binding rules:

 

  • The right to object to personal data processing

You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data, when the processing occurs for the performance of a task carried out for reasons of public interest, or the processing is necessary for purposes of our legitimate interests.

 

 

  • The right of access to personal data

Based on your request addressed to the contact person listed in this Personal data processing information, we will send you a copy of your personal data we process. The data will be sent via email unless another method is requested.

 

 

  • The right to rectification of personal data

You have the right to have inaccurate personal data concerning you rectified without undue delay. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you also have the right to have incomplete personal data completed.

 

 

  • The right to deletion (the right to be forgotten)

You have the right to obtain the deletion of your personal data without undue delay where one of the following grounds applies:

  1. the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which collected or otherwise processed;
  2. you withdraw the consent on which the processing is based, and there are no other legal grounds for the processing;
  3. you object to the processing of your personal data for the reasons referred to in point 1. above, and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing;
  4. your personal data have been unlawfully processed;
  5. your personal data have to be deleted for compliance with a legal obligation in the European Union or the Slovak Republic.

 

 

  • The right to restriction of processing

You have the right to obtain restriction of the processing of your personal data where one of the following applies:

  1. you contested the accuracy of the personal data during a period enabling us to verify the accuracy of the personal data;
  2. the processing is unlawful and you oppose the deletion of the personal data and request the restriction of their use instead;
  3. we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of processing, but you need them for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims;
  4. you have objected to the processing of your personal data for the reasons referred to in point 1. above, pending verification as to whether the legitimate grounds of the controller override those of the data subject.

 

 

  • The right to data portability

You have the right to receive your personal data that you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from us, where:

  1. the processing is based on your consent or on a contract;
  2. the processing is carried out by automated means.

 

 

  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

If you suspect your rights, or general binding rules concerning personal data processing might have been infringed, you have the right to refer to The Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic with a complaint to initiate proceedings of personal data protection pursuant to Section 99 of the Act on personal data protection.

CHANGES TO PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING INFORMATION

We can amend this Personal data processing information at any point in time. Without your explicit consent, such amendment cannot in any way affect your rights established by the relevant general binding rules on personal data protection.
