Fest Anča, the international animation festival and the only Academy Awards® Qualifying festival in Slovakia, is now accepting film submissions for its milestone 20th edition. Films can be submitted until 31 January 2027.
We accept only animated short films and music videos completed after 1 January 2025. Films must also have English subtitles.
Who Can Submit?
Any animator can submit a film, regardless of age. Only films with majority participation by a Slovak producer or Slovak creator are eligible for the Slovak Competition of Animated Shorts.
Submitted works must be original and human-created. While we are open to films made using artificial intelligence, the artist’s direct creative contribution must be clear.
How to Submit
Submissions are open via FilmFreeway.com from 31 October 2026 to 31 January 2027 and are divided into three phases:
- Early Bird (until 30 November 2026) – free submission
- 1–31 December 2026 – submission fee of €5 per film
- Late Entry (1–31 January 2027) – submission fee of €10 per film
All the information you need, along with the submission form, is available at:
