Amigo, welcome to an endless desert where thirst and dust will be your eternal companions… Pirates of the Caribbean director, Gore Verbinski, serves us a cocktail of action, humour, and beautiful scenery, which sails the waters of animation as smooth as Jack Sparrow’s specter ship. The Hawaiian-shirt wearing chameleon lives in a spacious vivarium where he wants for nothing… except adventure. And that arrives when he’s suddenly and surprisingly amidst an arid desert where he almost becomes a huge hawk’s lunch. So he heads for Dirt where the townsfolk are always trigger-happy. Our lizardy chum names himself Rango and rustles up some heroic tales…which he instantly regrets as his tough-talking lands him the job of sheriff from the downtrodden locals. Having talked-the-talk, Rango must now put his tough words into action: will he stand up and be counted, or abandon his sheriff star and guns to return to his cloistered Hawaiian-shirted existence?
